"I absolutely LOVED this book, which is the first in a series by Misty Simon. I term it a romantic comedy with a side of mystery and I thought it was fantastic. A super fast read that had me laughing out loud with the antics of Ivy, Bella and Ben, along with a slew of other secondary characters. In Ivy I found a character who was real and could be my best friend, she is far from perfect, but someone you just want to know more about. The push/pull relationship brewing between her and Ben was a trip to read about and definitely left me wanting more!!! Such a quick and easy read, I didn't want to put it down because I wanted to see what could possibly happen to Ivy next!! Loved this book, and highly recommend it to those who want a chuckle!!!! 5 out of 5." - 4/09

"I thoroughly loved this book. I can’t wait to read the next in the series. Ivy is such a hoot! Misty has such a wonderful way of telling a story through Ivy’s eyes. I feel as if I know her. I found myself laughing out loud quite often while reading this book. I also found it difficult to put down and read it in 1 day. I highly recommend this book." - 5/06

"I LOVED this book. It was so funny, and well written, and I love Ivy. I'm assuming she's going to be in the next book, too? And Ben and Bella? VERY excellent read! I laughed out loud with this book. I haven't done that in a long time!"- 4/06

"This story will leave your mouth hanging open for more reasons than one. Misty Simon has a way of making me burst out in laughter one moment and tears in the next. The only complaint that I have about this book is that I was left wanting more. I sincerely hope that Ms. Simon brings Ivy back in a sequel, it is just like chocolate for me; I have got to have more." - 1/06

"Simon sets the stage to tweak your imagination without the superfluous word count that makes readers skim paragraphs to get to the action. The clues and red herrings are sprinkled liberally through the book as Ben and Ivy try to find out who murdered one of the belles at the ball. Was it a case of mistaken victim? Is Ivy in danger of more than falling into bed with handsome Ben? The read is fast-paced and entertaining and leaves you wanting to spend more time with Ivy and her friends.
Anyone who has tiptoed through the rituals of romance will identify with sometimes awkward but adorable Ivy. The gals will love it, but the guys will laugh as well. Here's hoping the sequel “The Wrong Drawers” makes it to the shelves in January as promised so we can enjoy a visit with Ivy and friends." -

"Who was doing this to her and for what purpose? These are the questions Ivy needed answered and sets out to find them. Take your notepads and pens, the clues are there, we just need to string them together. Oh, one more thing, you'll enjoy the book!" - 8/05

"Ivy is ecstatic to inherit a costume shop. It’s the opportunity she’s been waiting for to escape the confines of her father’s house. Sadly, her idea of idyllic small town America is dashed by robbery, threatening messages
and murder. Can she get beyond this and build a relationship with the town’s sexpot?
With her first book, POISON IVY, Ms. Simon has established herself as someone to watch. There is a healthy dose of humor, and although a tad slow, the story was entertaining." - 6/05
