Not only is she cheating on her husband of 17 years, but she needs a root canal. The kind of oral care she's getting really doesn't help her toothache. It doesn't help her heartache either. Corinne, a suburban Mormon housewife, is about to walk down the perilous road of addiction, and she can't see the on-coming car.

After years of being second in her husband's life, work being his passion and escape, Corinne discovers a dark secret, one that will alter the way she sees her world forever. Her husband, Brent, is a pornography and sex addict.

Corinne begins to fall victim to the confusion, suspicion, and pain that co-addicts experience. From checking on her husband and his computer activities, to going to strip clubs to try and find him; from bringing strange young men home, to almost sleeping with her dentist. She has allowed his addiction to become her own, and what's worse? She can't seem to save anybody from themselves.

As Corinne plunges down the insane path of co-addiction, she must also deal with a culture that has alienated her since she was sixteen. As she confronts and uncovers one of the most insidious and damaging of addictions, Corinne must survive the insanity of her world, or lose herself entirely. With support from friends and her baby-seal killing mother (not really, but she is very peevish), she gains the kind of strength that ultimately leads her to saving the only person she can truly save: herself.
